Speaker Scott Provides Update on 2025 Virginia General Assembly Session

Richmond, VA – Virginia Speaker of the House of Delegates Don Scott released the following statement regarding the start of the 2025 Virginia General Assembly session:

“Due to ongoing water outages in the City of Richmond, the House of Delegates will convene tomorrow at 12:00 PM to officially gavel in and commence the 2025 legislative session. Following this initial meeting, the House will recess and reconvene on Monday, January 13th, to continue our work for the people of Virginia.

“We are actively coordinating with local and statewide officials to support Richmond’s efforts to resolve the issue and restore water service to residents as quickly as possible.”
